Interested in experiencing a Trail Riders of Victoria Inc. Members’ Weekend?

Visitors are welcome to join us on any of our allocated Members’ Weekend ride dates. Our weekends are a great opportunity to meet our members, experience our trails and see whether TRV is the right club for you.

The Rides

Saturday – Fast Paced | Approx. 5–6 hours
Suitable for confident riders and horses. Riders must be comfortable walking, trotting and cantering. Some rides require you to bring and carry your own packed lunch and drink.
 
Sunday – Relaxed Pace | Approx. 3–4 hours
A relaxed social ride, with the pace catering to the slowest rider in the group.
🏡 Accommodation & Catering

Ride Only – FREE Saturday and/or Sunday ride only.
Friday Night – $30 Friday night accommodation only.
Weekend Package – $110 Saturday dinner, Saturday night accommodation and Sunday breakfast.

👤 Participant Requirements

Participants must be at least 12 years old, unless prior approval has been granted by TRV. Riders 16 years and under must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult rider. Riders under 18 must wear an Australian Standards approved riding helmet whenever mounted. Helmets are strongly recommended for all adult riders. All participants must follow the directions of the Trail Boss, ride leaders and event volunteers at all times.

ℹ️ Important Information Before Attending

🐴 Horse & Riding Equipment – All horses must have a halter/headstall under their bridle, with a lead rope attached or carried by the rider. It is recommend horse are shod or wearing boots (eg Scoot Boots) as the terrain can sometimes be hard and rocky.
🎒 Staying Overnight? – Bring a pillow, sleeping bag/doona, single fitted sheet, towel, toiletries and slippers. Accommodation is dorm-style, so earplugs and an eye mask are recommended. Tea and coffee are provided; bring any other refreshments you would like.
🌾 Horse Feed – Bring hard feed if required. Feed horses at tie-up posts only, not in paddocks. No hay on the gravel driveway and please clean up all leftover feed/hay.
🎀 Horses That Kick – Please display a red ribbon.
🐴 Paddocks & Yards – Due to construction, yard availability is limited. Three paddocks are available, or bring your own pigtails, electric tape and fencing unit to create a temporary yard.
🐶 Dogs – Visitors are not permitted to bring dogs to Members’ Weekends.

To attend as a Trail Visitor, please complete the following no later than the Saturday prior to the Members’ Weekend:
Step 1 – Complete the Members’ Weekend Trail Visitor Form
Step 2 – Complete the Release, Waiver of Liability & Acknowledgement of Risk All participants must complete and sign the waiver. A parent/legal guardian must complete the required section for participants under 18.

Step 4 – Make Payment (if applicable)

❌ Cancellations

Cancellations must be received by 12:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to the Members’ Weekend.
Cancellations after this time will be charged in full, as catering and accommodation arrangements will already have been confirmed.

Submitting your forms does not automatically confirm your attendance. Please wait until you receive confirmation from Trail Riders of Victoria Inc.
TRV reserves the right to accept or decline Trail Visitor applications at its discretion.
Payment and all required forms must be completed and returned before participating in a Members’ Weekend ride.
