Walk Only rides

The next Introductory Walk Only Ride will be in 2024 with an overnight stay on Friday night.

Walk Only Rides …. Watch this page for further information.

Friday Night Stays are now available. Gates open at 4pm for Friday night arrivals.

Club members and guests can bring their own dinners or opt to eat at their own expense together at a local venue. We will advise prior to the Friday Night Stay which of our lovely local venues will be attended.
The Friday Night Stays have been introduced to help riders & horses with settling in the night before the Walk Only Ride. The morning of the ride can often be hectic, travelling to a new destination, finding the new destination, unloading, and acclimatising to a group of other riders. Some great connections and riding partnerships have been formed at our Introductory Walk Only rides.

BYO Breakfast

10 am – Saddle up for horse muster chat on the Obstacle Course. Horses in halter and lead ropes, with bridle in hand to put on horse later – all participants. Everyone will benefit from some time on the Obstacle Course as it has been designed with what riders can encounter out on the trail in mind. Riders will lead their horses through the Obstacles and then ride through the Course. Our club members will be on hand to assist. When everyone is warmed up and feeling relaxed the trail ride will begin.

Our experience has shown that a bit of time spent on the Obstacle Course results in  a better experience while trail riding.

We will be sending riders a questionnaire regarding your experience and your expectations.

Riders are to bring a saddle bag, lunch and drink to take on the trail ride. Lunch can be enjoyed out on the trail.
